Ministries

We are grateful to have parishioners of all ages serving within our Ministries, as well as on our Committees and Organizations.

We are especially encouraged by the number of youth interested in serving. If you would like to become involved, please contact the office via email at secretary@stannesparishgb.ca or by phone at (902) 849-6826.

Eucharistic Minister, or more properly a Lay Eucharistic Minister (LEM), is used to denote a lay person who assists the priest in administering the sacraments of holy communion, the consecrated bread and wine. They may also take the sacraments to those who are ill, or otherwise unable to attend Mass.
In the Latin Rite of the Catholic Church, the term “lector” or “reader” can mean someone who in a particular liturgy is assigned to read a Biblical text other than the Gospel.
The Hospitality Ministry is the church’s first effort of friendliness and kindness. They are the wide smile and warm handshake of the congregation to those who enter. … The Hospitality Ministry plays an integral part in making the public services function smoothly.
